It all started in 2009 when I first stepped onto the Flowrider. At the end of the same year, 1 month after picking up the sport, WaveLoch had their first ever International Competition in Singapore, their newest venue.
THE 2010 1FC
Flowboarders from around the world came down to WaveHouse Sentosa and ripped the machines and I was in awe when the pro riders did their thang. So I trained hard to get qualified to get into Team SIngapore for the 2nd International event. WaveHouse Sentosa was again chosen as the venue. Pro athletes from Dubai, Chile, South Africa and the US came down to compete for the world title.

TEAM SINGAPORE 2010
It was my first ever international competition and Team Singapore was an underdog. The requirement was all teams had tocompete on both the flowrider and the flowbarrel and the teams or individual who do well on both will win the Overall World Title.

I was nervous competing for the world events but managed to pull through. I did pretty well on the flowrider and strapless flowbarrel and won the World Title. Was pretty stoked at that time and wasshocked tooo. That event changed my life and I called that special moment The Breakthrough.
